Description
Best Before 1984 is a compilation featuring Crass’ singles amongst other tracks, and was released in 1986, two years after the band’s break up. The physical formats feature lyrics and booklet detailing the history of the band (In which Crass “Blow Their Own”).
The compilation features such tracks as “Reality Asylum”, “Sheep Farming In The Falklands” and, as a nice touch, opens with their debut single “Do They Owe Us A Living?” and closes with the last ever performance of said track.
The album was named in reference to the self applied “sell by date” that was intended, and was lived up to by the band.
