FR - Initialement sorti en 1997 sur le label Vicious Circle, Twisted In Anguish, le second album de Tantrum verra le jour à l’automne prochain pour la première fois en vinyle.
Remasterisé pour l’occasion par David Weber au Studio Des Forces Motrices à Genève (il avait enregistré cet album en 96). A l’origine Tantrum c’est la version hardcore du groupe de grunge sur-vitaminé Drive Blind . Plus Helmet, Unsane ou Today Is The Day, c’est l’exutoire du guitariste chanteur Pierre Viguier, accompagné sur ce disque par Nicolas Gromoff (batteur de Drive Blind) et de Jean Michel Gimenez (bassiste du trio noise de Sète, Beamtrap).
Tantrum a sorti une série de splits avec des groupes marquants de la scène française de l’époque : Belly Button, Knut, Epileptic, Beamtrap et a également tourné avec des figures du rock indé hexagonal comme Burning Heads, Seven Hate, Portobello Bones ou encore Condense.
9 titres rageurs qui vous sautent aux oreilles : un pan entier de la musique s’effondre pour mieux se reconstruire et se relever le point en l’air, la gueule en avant. Une guitare monolithique, une basse au groove monstrueux et une batterie métronomique, les autres n’ont qu’à bien se tenir, Tantrum est là pour en découdre. Arrivé à la fin du disque et à ce titre fédérateur, Fault (composé à deux basses)... il ne reste plus qu’une chose à faire : remettre la face A.

Freshly remastered for the occasion by David Weber at Studio Des Forces Motrices in Geneva (he recorded the album back in 96). Tantrum started as the hardcore twin of the grunge band Drive Blind under the influence of Helmet, Unsane or Today Is The Day, it can also be seen as the outlet of Pierre Viguier (guitar/vocals – Drive Blind), joined on this record by Nicolas Gromoff (drums – Drive Blind) and Jean-Michel Gimenez (bass – Beamtrap).
Tantrum released a long series of splits with the most significant bands of the french scene at that time : Belly Button, Knut, Epileptic, Beamtrap, and toured with Burning Heads, Seven Hate, Portobello Bones or Condense.
Nine raging songs that jump on your throat : an entire branch of music collapse and rise again, the fist in the air ! FR - Le Skeleton Band (le groupe tient à son LE) écume les clubs et les speakeasys de toute l'Europe depuis bientôt 10 ans. Usant les planches à la manière d’un cirque décadent qui déballerait ses squelettes, banjo et contrebasse en avant. Jouant un blues à trois temps, sorti des marécages de la Nouvelle Orléans. Enfants d'un Tom Waits whisky à la main, affalé dans une chaise à bascule sur le perron d’une vieille maison en bois décrépie. Ou imaginons plutôt que 16 Horsepower aurait fait la bande originale de série Carnivàle (la Caravane de l’étrange) : les années 30, la grande dépression, le combat du bien contre le mal …
Sous son air rugueux, ce quatrième album possède une production aux petits oignons. Enregistré en Italie au Outside Inside Studio (The Dead Brothers , Movie Star Junkies, The Pussy Warmers, Mark Sultan (BBQ)...). Ce 11 titres de 45 minutes prend la forme d’un double vinyle ou d’un digipack avec livret et paroles. Le groupe a confié l’artwork à Jean-Luc Navette, artiste avec qui ils ont déjà collaboré sur leur dernier BD concert. Les chansons en français, en anglais ou en portugais, nous invitent au voyage. Une sombre traversée vers l’argentine dans ‘’Le Ventre De La Baleine’’ à la recherche d’un folklore oublié. Le folklore du pays des ombres, des valses usées et des vies oubliées.

This fourth studio album was recorded in Italy at the Outside Inside Studio (The Dead Brothers, Movie Star Junkies, The Pussy Warmers, Mark Sultan (BBQ)...) and will be released on a double-vinyl and a digipack CD with booklet and lyrics, 11 tracks for 45 minutes total running. The artwork is from Jean-Luc Navette, artist with whom they have already worked on their last comic-concert. The band sings in French, English or Portuguese, they are offering us a travel across black oceans and forgotten countries full of silly ghost and dancing shadows.

FR - Fondé autour de quatre musiciens issus de la scène indé nantaise (Tiny Scalp, Bantam Lyons, Moskou, Fairy Tales in Yoghourt), le groupe délivre un set qui se veut catchy, sensible et nerveux à la fois.
Contaminé par des formations telles que Deerhoof, Honey For Petzi, The Flaming Lips, Polvo ou autre Television, Classe Mannequin sert une musique hybride, entre l’immédiateté ludique de la pop, avec son univers mélodique, et les tensions alambiquées et bruitistes du math-rock et de la noise. Classe mannequin a pu partager la scène avec des groupes, tels que The Weeding Present, Half Moon Run, Clara Clara, Gum Takes Tooth, The French Cow Boy, Hyphen Hyphen, Jesus Christ Fashion Barbe, etc.

Electro-Rock - Montpellier
FR - Marvin, trio montpelliérain formé en 2003, a réalisé trois albums qui lui ont permis d’être reconnu à la fois par la critique (couverture de Noise Magazine, Top 10 Tsugi…) et par le public comme un des groupes indé français les plus importants de ces dernières années. Leur dernier album « Barry » est sorti en 2013 sur African Tape puis réédité par Head Records en 2016. Paradoxalement c’est leur disque le plus heavy et le plus ambient, le plus rock et le plus pop. Il combine parfaitement l’énergie qui a fait le succès de Marvin en concert et une palette sonique de plus en plus riche et innovante. Si beaucoup des références du groupe sont issues des années 70 (Led Zep, Sabbath, Devo, Eno, Neu !…) pour être réinvesties par la dextérité du rock le plus exigeant des années 90 (Trans Am, the Jesus Lizard…), leur musique est désormais unique. Complexe et immédiat, « Barry » est assurément leur album le plus abouti. En parallèle, le groupe a formé avec Pneu, Papier Tigre et Electric Electric, « La Colonie de Vacances », un concert quadriphonique où le public est plongé au milieu de quatre scènes, les groupes réunissant leurs répertoires et combinant leurs affinités pour une expérience sonique singulière. ENG - Hailing from Malmö, Sweden and formed in 2001 : SUMA has been spreading the plague of their sonic weight, noise-ridden hallucinatory doom metal on the world for the past decade. Through these years they've lured hordes of humans into the lair with their devastatingly heavy, one way trip into the vortex live performances and crushing delivery on their recorded matters.
The past year has seen some changes to the entity that is SUMA. After more than a year's hiatus and decimated to a four-piece with the departure of DR.J's vocals in the winter of 2011/12 there was no hesitation in figuring out how to move forward. Vocals kept within the reborn entity and an additional depth to the maelstorm added by the introduction of the taurus. Regenerated to enable unexplored structures of their sphere... there is a vast darkness on the horizon.

ENG - In the year of 2006 Viktor Forss (drums) and Dan Hedlund (guitar) started making trips to their rehersalspace, to get away from humanity and worship slow riffs. Time went on and songs started taking shape. The idea of Pyramido got a bit more serious so they asked Henrik Wendel to join on bass and got in touch with Ronnie Källback do do the vocals. The band wrote more songs in 2007 and these songs found their way onto Pyramidos first and only demo. The band started to make liveshows in the Malmö-area and word got around. In 2008 Pyramido got an offer to record their debutalbum and release it through Total Rust Music. Songs were written and in spring of 2009 "Sand" was out for the masses to hear, five songs of slow boogiefied hardcorepunk. The album got some really good reviews and the band played around Scandinavia and did a eurotour. After recording the album Pyramido broadened their sound by moving Wendel to guitar and got their good friend Dan Bengtsson to handle the bassduties. In the glorious year of 2010 Pyramido released two split-LP´s. One is shared with swedish doomdroners SUMA and is out through Head-Records and the other one is shared with the german crustpunksquad GUN MOB.

FR - Zarboth est né en 2007, dans l’underground parisien, de la rencontre de Phil Reptil (La théorie du reptile / Osteti) et de Etienne, batteur dans We Insist !. Ils sont partis du constat qu’ avec leur batterie DW et leur guitare 7 cordes, ensemble, ils pouvaient exprimer des choses impossible à sortir avec leurs groupes respectifs. De jams en répétitions, le groupe s’est forgé une identité mélangeant punk, noise, metal et rock indé. Le duo s’énerve, chante, crée des ambiances, on ne s’ennuie pas, ça part dans tout les sens. On pourrait penser à des productions de Ipecac, Tzadik, ou encore de Skin Graft. Mais ce duo possède une identité qui le démarque des autres : l’énergie et la spontanéité. Le lien avec Pneu ne se fait pas seulement à cause du label Head Records.

FR - Spinning heads a commencé à faire du bruit en 1996 et a connu deux différents line up, à l’arrivé du second guitariste en 2001 (sebastien Salgues) le groupe prend une tournure plus noise hard core et prépare l’enregistrement d’un album chez serge Morattel (Suisse). Plusieurs labels français répondent à l’appel : Basement apes industries et Radar swarm, le disque est également aux USA chez Sedition records et Spacement rec en version vinyl. Le groupe enchaîne les dates en France et en Espagne avec aux côtés de Impure wilhelmina, Overmars, Anodyne, Metronome charisma, Cursed, Playing enemy, Tantrum, Comity, Superstatic revolution, Unsane, An albatross … L’album est distribué par Overcome en janvier 2005 et est également présent dans la plus part des mailorders européens ainsi que chez quelques distributeurs américains et Japonais.
ENG - 2005 new breed of extreme post noise hardcore. Featuring members of Tantrum and Morgue, Spinning Heads is not a side-project at all... Spinning heads begun with noise in 1996 and knew 2 different line-ups. Second guitarist Sebastien Salgues made the band turn into a more noise hardcore outfit in view of recording their first 7'' in 2002. In 1999, drummer Ben Heredia is called to record the album 'Into thin air' with Tantrum. So the band went to Morattel Studios in Geneva to record their debut 3-song 7'' released by Radar Swarm Rcs. The band rapidily go on tour with Comity and Superstatic Revolution in the occasion of the Christmas tour 2003. Then another Spanish tour comes along with Tantrum. Spinning Heads shared the stage with Impure wilhelmina, Overmars, Anodyne, Metronome charisma, Stuntman… In 2004 Abel Gibert becomes permanent singer for Morgue and begun performance at the Fury Festival 2004. Now in 2005, 'Change the game' is released. Heavy as a ten-ton bulldozer and making reference to every new band from now on. The band decided to work with Basement Apes and Radar Swarm once again to prove fidelity. In USA, Sedition records and Spacement records released the vynil version. The band is completing as series of dates in november/december to promote the new cd then will go again with Comity in february 2005. A US tour is currently in the works for late 2005.

FR - Fondé en 2003 à Montpellier, d’abord trio le groupe est composé de Nico (basse/chant), Fredo (guitare/chant), et Pascal (batterie). Le style, très rock’n’roll tirant sur le stoner, intègre des influences noise, parfois punk, voire hard-core. Une première démo 6 titres est enregistré cette même année, suivi d’une deuxième en 2006. Entre temps le groupe écume les salles du grand sud et d’ailleurs. Ce début 2006 voit également l’arrivée de Vincent, assurant une deuxième guitare et une voix supplémentaire. Mars 2007 le groupe enregistre son premier album en quatuor, mais cette même fin d’année verra le départ de ce dernier, propulsant le groupe sur un nouveau territoire familier qu’est le trio…
ENG -Superbeatnik originates from Montpellier (South of France) and was born as a trio in 2003. Their music, mostly rock’n’roll and stoner rock, includes a wide range of influences from noise rock, punk to hardcore. A first 6 track demo is recorded the same year, followed by a second in 2006. In the meantime, Superbeatnik gets its act together on the road, playing a bunch of shows all around France. In the beginning of 2006, a second guitar player / singer is added to the original line-up and in 2007 the quartet records its first album. Right after the release of this first effort, Vincent, the new guy, leaves the band as a trio, their first and finally their best formula.

ÖFÖ AM

FR - Formé en 2008 à Montpellier, ÖfÖ Am est un trio évoluant dans un univers heavy instrumental. Leur délire c’est les vieilles guitares et le vieux son bien gras. D’ailleurs Nico fabrique lui-même les overdrive, fuzz et autres pédales en tout genre qu’utilise ÖfÖ Am. Des influences allant d’Ennio Morricone à Unsane en passant par Led Zeppelin et Ravi Shankar composent l’univers du trio qui construit chacun de ses morceaux comme la BO d’un film imaginaire. Après un premier EP chez Head Records en 2008, le groupe a partagé un split 45 tours avec Karma To Burn (Napalm Records – 2010) puis sorti un album (Slow Death – 2011) et un split 33 tours avec leurs copains de LAHIUS ; le prochain album est en route.
ENG - From the great tradition of inbreeding in the rock bands in Montpellier, ÖfÖ AM has followed the rule since in effect, Nico, here on drums, plays bass and sings in Superbeatnik and Tony, by the guitar, hits drums on Stony Broke. Influenced by bands ranging from Deep Purple to Unsane through Black Sabbath and Kyuss, ÖfÖ AM has chosen to remain instrumental and focus each of its pieces around a central theme. Always in search of THE tone , Nico invents the effects used on bass and guitar since he is the creator of the stompboxe’s company "Mazzette",
